Project Overview
The Educational Military Tactics Application is a C++ serious-game project developed by a six-person team. The application combines interactive tactical simulations with educational quiz and progression systems.
I focused on UI programming, quiz and scoring systems, progression logic, and integration between the application’s interface and simulation components.
My Role and contributions

- Developed interactive quiz interfaces and assessment workflows using C++ and Qt.
- Implemented score tracking and progression logic connecting quiz performance with the application’s educational flow.
- Worked with Box2D-based troop simulations and integrated simulation functionality with the user interface.
- Coordinated with development subgroups to integrate independently developed systems into a unified application.
Technical Highlights
Quiz and Progression System
I developed UI and logic for presenting questions, processing player responses, tracking scores, and progressing through the application’s educational content. The system connected assessment results with the broader application flow so that the interface, scoring, and progression state remained synchronized.
UI and Simulation Integration
The project combines traditional application UI with an interactive Box2D simulation. I worked across these components to connect user-facing controls and educational workflows with the underlying simulation systems.
Challenges and Solutions
Integrating Independently Developed Components:
- Challenge: Different subgroups were responsible for separate parts of the application, creating integration challenges when UI, simulation, and progression systems were combined.
- Solution: I collaborated across the development subgroups to connect interfaces between systems and resolve integration issues as the separate components were brought together.
Connecting Education With Interaction:
- Challenge: Educational assessment needed to work as part of the interactive experience rather than as an isolated feature.
- Solution: I helped connect quiz, scoring, progression, and simulation components into a unified application workflow.
