About Me

Hi, I’m Jiedi Mo, a Gameplay Engineer currently pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science – Game Development at the University of Southern California. I previously earned my B.S. in Computer Science with a Game Development Emphasis from the University of Utah.

I specialize in gameplay engineering and programming with C++ and C#, with experience developing games in Unreal Engine 5 and Unity. I enjoy building systems that shape how a game feels to play, including combat mechanics, enemy AI, player controllers, procedural systems, and UI/HUD integration.

Through team projects such as Cradle of the Rift, released on Steam, and Fallen Crown, I’ve worked with interdisciplinary teams to develop, test, debug, and integrate gameplay systems from prototype through iteration and playtesting. I have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Perforce, Git, and unit testing as part of collaborative game development.

My broader technical experience includes software engineering, AI, robotics, computer graphics, and technical media, giving me experience working across both interactive and general software systems.

I’m currently seeking internship opportunities for Summer 2027 across game development, software engineering, technical media, and related technical fields.
